New Release! 2015 Larmandier-Bernier Premier Cru Terre de Vertus

Larmandier-Bernier Premier Cru Terre de Vertus 2015 is here!

Larmandier-Bernier is a renowned Maison de Champagne located in the Côte de Blancs that biodynamically cultivates its 18 hectares of vineyards, prioritising the preservation of old vines that are cultivated with minimal intervention.

“Good Champagnes conform to the rules. Really great Champagnes often break them!” – Pierre Larmandier of Champagne Larmandier-Bernier

Ever the purists, Larmandier-Bernier utilises only indigenous yeasts, separate vinification for each cru, and little to no dosage for an unadulterated expression of terroir in their wines. The wines are vinified in a variety of stainless-steel tanks; large, old, wood foudres; enamel-lined tanks; or smaller Burgundian barrels, depending on each cru and each vintage.

“The 2015 Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Terre de Vertus continues to show well, offering up generous aromas of peach, orange oil, ripe melon, white cherries, buttery pastry, orange oil and dried white flowers. Full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with a vinous, muscular profile and a long, gently mordant finish, it’s one of the more powerful wines in the range.” – 93 points, Robert Parker.

In 2004, Larmandier-Bernier was one of the first estates in Champagne to achieve the biodynamic certification, read more about biodynamic practises here
